2nd ODI Australia lose four wickets against Pakistan

In the second One Day International (ODI) being played in Lahore, Pakistan have reduced Australia to 108 for 4 wickets.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first, aiming to put pressure on the Australian batting line-up from the start. The decision proved effective as the home side struck early and kept control of the game in the opening phase.

Pakistan currently hold a 1–0 lead in the three-match ODI series and is looking to strengthen its position by winning the second match and securing the series.

At the toss, Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi confirmed that the team remained unchanged. He said the same players who featured in the first ODI were given confidence to continue in the playing XI.

Shaheen Afridi expressed optimism about his team’s performance, saying Pakistan would aim to deliver a strong all-round display and give fans a winning result.

He added that the team’s focus was on maintaining consistency and executing their plans effectively against a strong Australian side.

Australia, meanwhile, struggled to build momentum after losing early wickets, with Pakistan’s bowlers maintaining disciplined lines and lengths.

The match is part of a closely contested series between Pakistan and Australia, with both sides competing in Lahore. Pakistan will look to maintain their advantage, while Australia aim to recover and level the series.
