According to an official notification from the KMC Human Resources Department, the holiday will be observed on 22 Zil Hajj 1446 AH. The day falls on Monday, June 8.

Reports say that the decision comes after an earlier resolution passed by the Karachi City Council to observe the religious event.

The notification has been approved by the relevant authority and shared with all KMC departments for implementation, according to the reports.
