PIA announces to resume direct Islamabad-Beijing flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the restoration of its direct flight service between Islamabad and Beijing. This marked another step in strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and China.

The flights will restart operations on the route from July 3, providing passengers with a direct travel option between the two capitals.

According to the announcement, the resumption of the Islamabad to Beijing service is expected to facilitate travel for business professionals, students, government officials, tourists, and members of the Pakistani and Chinese communities who frequently travel between the two countries. The route is considered strategically important due to the close diplomatic, economic and trade relations between Pakistan and China.

The restoration of direct flights is also expected to improve connectivity under various bilateral initiatives and enhance travel convenience by reducing transit times for passengers. Direct services eliminate the need for connecting flights through third countries, making travel more efficient and comfortable for travelers.

Officials believe that the move will further support growing commercial activities between the two nations.

Additionally, the Islamabad-Beijing route has long been regarded as one of the key international connections operated by PIA. The direct journey is expected to take approximately five and a half hours, significantly reducing travel time compared with connecting routes. The Beijing route is expected to benefit trade, tourism, educational exchanges, and business cooperation between Pakistan and China. Travelers planning to use the route have been advised to check flight schedules, booking availability, and travel requirements before departure.

The service is expected to provide a more convenient travel option for passengers while supporting stronger economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Overall, as flights are scheduled to restart on July 3, the Islamabad to Beijing route will once again become part of PIA’s international network. This reinforced the airline’s role in connecting Pakistan with one of its closest strategic partners.
