Emirates Airlines has issued a travel advisory following the implementation of stricter entry and visa measures by the United Arab Emirates in response to concerns over the spread of Ebola.
The advisory comes as authorities increase health and border control precautions to prevent the virus from entering the country.
According to the new measures, the UAE has temporarily suspended the issuance of new visas and restricted entry for nationals of three African countries. These include the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan. The decision was taken as a preventive measure amid concerns regarding Ebola outbreaks in parts of Africa.
Further, UAE authorities emphasised that the restrictions are intended to reduce the risk of disease transmission and strengthen health security at the country’s borders.
Emirates International Airlines, informed passengers about the updated travel requirements and urged travellers to carefully review entry regulations before making travel plans. The airline advised customers to stay informed about the latest government directives.
Health authorities in the countries previously mentioned are closely monitoring the Ebola situation and have implemented additional screening measures to identify potential cases at international airports.
Officials noted that the UAE’s decision reflects a broader international effort to prevent the spread of infectious diseases through global travel networks, enhanced monitoring, health checks, and travel restrictions.
The latest advisory highlights growing international concern about Ebola and demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to protecting public health through proactive border and immigration measures. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and have indicated that additional measures may be introduced if circumstances require further action.
