PCB calls 49 players who will take part in National Cricket Academy camps

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited 49 players to participate in the National Cricket Academy (NCA)’s Red-Ball and White-Ball camps.

The Red-Ball Camp at the NCA is set to start on Monday, June 8, and will run until Friday, July 10, with 22 players involved.

Cricket players who participated in the recent ODI series against Australia and are selected for the Red-Ball Camp by PCB will join on June 15.

The White-Ball Camp at the NCA will begin on Monday, June 15, and last until Friday, September 18, with 27 players taking part.

In view of the recent PCB decision, both camps are designed to prepare cricket players for upcoming international and domestic competitions.

PCB to allocate major positions to former captains

Earlier, it was revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to entrust several key positions to former captains as part of a major restructuring of the national cricket setup.

According to media reports, former Pakistan captain Younis Khan is the frontrunner to become the head coach of the national Test team.

He is also likely to be included in the national selection committee, giving him a significant role in shaping the future of Pakistan cricket.

Sources further reveal that former captain Mohammad Hafeez is being considered for the position of Director of International Cricket.
