A new training initiative has been launched in Peshawar to improve employment opportunities and equip young people with modern professional skills. Under the program, free technical and vocational training will be provided in various fields to help participants effectively utilise their abilities in the job market.
The training program is being organised jointly by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and the Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan, with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
A series of free three month courses has been introduced to address skill requirements in the livestock sector. The courses are designed to provide practical training that can connect young people with both domestic and international employment opportunities.
The training areas include Assistant Slaughterer/Helper, Fish Farming, Cold Chain Management and Export Logistics Certification Practices, as well as Meat Processing, Value Addition and Preservation.
Training centres have been established in Peshawar and Mardan. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age and possess at least a middle school or matriculation-level education.
Program administrators said the number of seats is limited and urged eligible candidates to submit their applications as soon as possible. The deadline for online applications has been set for June 16, 2026.
Interested candidates can complete their registration through the official government portal.
Officials said the initiative is part of a broader national strategy aimed at developing a skilled workforce and creating better employment opportunities for young people across the country.
