A new audio clip attributed to the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) has raised serious questions about the organisation’s claims of engaging in “peaceful activities.
According to media reports, a conversation between alleged JAAC leaders Sajid Azam and Hameed Kashmiri can be heard in the recording. In the clip, discussions reportedly concern advancing toward Rawalakot, the movement of processions, and strategies for possible entry into the area.
Some parts of the audio also claim the presence of a large number of supporters and refer to the preparation of armed groups. The conversation further includes remarks about reaching Rawalakot, putting forward various demands, and securing the release of their associates.
In further discussion, it is suggested that resistance and conflict may arise. Some parts of the audio also indicate internal differences and dissatisfaction with the leadership.
According to experts, such an alleged audio leak gives the impression that the organisation’s claims of being peaceful do not align with the ground realities. Some analysts viewed the reported claims of an exaggerated five hundred armed individuals and aggressive rhetoric as raising questions about the organisation’s narrative.
Analysts further state that such discourse may increase instability and tension in the region, which could benefit external narratives.
It should be noted that audio leaks involving some individuals associated with the JAAC have surfaced previously, in which discussions related to entering Rawalakot and possible political activities were reportedly heard. The new alleged leak has once again brought this issue into the spotlight.
Meanwhile, following the release of the audio, various reactions are emerging on social media, while the situation is also being closely monitored in security and political circles.
