X men star Famke Janssen has expressed disappointment and said that Marvel Studios ‘made a mistake’ by leaving her out of their new film, Avengers: Doomsday.
The actress is best known for playing the character of Jean Grey in the X men series. She opened up about her feelings over the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)’s recent casting choices at SpaceCon.
It is important to note that her former co-stars have been confirmed to return for the new film.
Janssen shared, “I am so bad at keeping secrets that I always say to everyone, ‘I’m the worst actor in the world because it’s all on my face.”
She went on to say, “So, I mean, I think they made a mistake, but hey, who am I? I’m just a little me who thinks that.”
Her character, Jean Grey is one of the main characters of the X-men movies.
Other X-men actors who are still playing their roles in Avengers: Doomsday include Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden.
Famke Janssen has also said that she will not appear in the new film despite showing interest in playing the character of Jean Grey again.
Earlier, she had also expressed, “It’s been so long, but it’s nice that people are still talking about her. I’m sure every single time there’s a new movie that they’re doing, like is it Doomsday? It’ll come up again.”
Marvel hasn’t made any official announcement over why characters like Jean Grey will not appear in the new film.
However, fans are now suggesting that Sadie Sink may play a new version of the character in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
