Mahrang Lango has been sentenced for the brutal mob killing of an FC soldier in Gawadar Raji Muchi. The mob killing was conducted under the pretence of a protest.
The incident happened on a horrific day in February 2024 saw Mahrang Lango and her associates launch a disruptive march under the name of Raji Muchi.
Starting from Quetta, Mahrang spread unrest at every turn and every stop along the route, while terrorists accompanying her convoy carried out numerous attacks on security forces.
When the march reached the peaceful area of Gwadar, a new chapter of brutality was allegedly written under the leadership of Mahrang and Sibghatullah Shah.
FC soldier Shabbir Baloch, who was performing his duty, was surrounded by rioters and killed through a barrage of stone attacks.
His body was then allegedly desecrated.
After a prolonged legal battle lasting two years, during which Mahrang and her associates allegedly threatened judges and made relentless attempts to disrupt the proceedings, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Quetta today sentenced Mahrang Lango and Sibghatullah Shah to life imprisonment.
The court described Mahrang Lango as a recruitment agent of Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
In another notable development, the Anti-Terrorism Court, in a historic verdict against anti-state activities and networks of banned organisations, sentenced Sajid Ahmed, an active facilitator of the banned BLA and BLF, to 14 years in prison for his involvement in serious crimes.
