Earthquake tremors felt in Islamabad, KP

An earthquake tremor was felt across several areas in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Swat, Batgram, Kohat, Hangu, Shangla, Mardan, Landi Kotal and Malakand.

Some other parts of the country were also affected, including Multan and DI Khan.

On the Richter Scale, the magnitude of the earthquake was observed up to 5.4.

The earthquake came at 3:23 local time.

The epicentre of the earthquake was the Hindukush region in Afghanistan.

Luckily, this earthquake was not like the recent earthquake in the Philippines, which killed up to 5 people.

After the powerful earthquake, a Tsunami warning had to be given in the Philippines. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit near the Phillipine Island of Mindanao.

The earthquake occurred at approximately 7:40 am according to Philippine local time. At least five people were killed, and several buildings also collapsed.

Luckily, nothing like this happened in Pakistan. No deaths or infrastructure collapse have been reported yet.

Recently, Pakistan has been frequently experiencing earthquakes. Many people think this might be a pattern. However, it is important to note that nothing of the sort has been said by any government official or a scientist. These earthquakes are normal.
