Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan said on Monday that after two years of legal struggle, justice has finally been served to the son of Balochistan, the martyr Shabbir Baloch, by the court.
In a post on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the CM said, “During duty in Gwadar city, he was martyred by enraged BYC protesters who stoned him to death under the leadership of Mahrang Lango.”
He further added that today, following the court’s sentencing of Mahrang Lango and her associates, the Government of Balochistan’s stance has been proven correct.
Stating the stance, he added, ‘that those who take the law into their own hands under the guise of peaceful protest, promote violence, and target state officials are in fact facilitators of terrorism.’
“The Government of Balochistan expresses solidarity with the family of Martyr Shabbir Baloch on the sentencing of his killers and assures them that the martyr’s blood will not go to waste,” he added further.
He concluded that the state’s war against terrorists, their sympathisers, facilitators, and supporting elements in Balochistan will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

Mahrang Lango sentenced
Earlier today, Mahrang Lango was sentenced in connection with the mob killing of an FC soldier during the Gwadar Raji Muchi protest.
The incident took place in February 2024, when Mahrang Lango and her associates organised a march under the banner of Raji Muchi.
According to the reports, the march began in Quetta. Reports add that unrest was witnessed at several locations along the route.
Authorities also alleged that terrorists accompanying the convoy carried out multiple attacks on security forces during the period.
FC soldier Shabbir Baloch was performing his duty at the time. He was surrounded by rioters and killed in a barrage of stone attacks. Reports add that his body was then also desecrated.
After a prolonged legal battle lasting two years, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Quetta today sentenced Mahrang Lango and Sibghatullah Shah to life imprisonment.
