The federal government of Pakistan has released a list of departments that will remain open in the Red Zone, Islamabad, on June 23.
According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the Government of Pakistan, the following offices will remain open on June 23rd, 2026:
- Cabinet Division
- Federal Board of Revenue
- Finance Division
- Ministry of Commerce
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Industries and Production
- Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control
- Ministry of Law and Justice
- Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs
- Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives
- National Assembly and Senate
- Prime Minister’s Office
- Revenue Division
All of the institutions are government bodies that will remain open on Tuesday and will carry out their duties as per schedule.
The authorities have issued this notification as the Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, is about to visit Pakistan today.
Moreover, the government has also announced work from home for all of the other employees except for those departments mentioned above.
The notification states that all of the Ministries, Divisions and other Federal Government establishments located within the Red Zone, Islamabad, shall work from home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Pakistan
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is expected to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow on a one-day official visit, according to sources.
Sources said the visit is likely to serve as an opportunity for the Iranian president to express gratitude for Pakistan’s support and cooperation during recent developments.
During his stay, President Pezeshkian is expected to hold separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to sources, discussions will focus on key bilateral issues, including border security, trade, energy cooperation and regional connectivity. The leaders are also expected to review recent diplomatic engagements and the implementation of existing memorandums of understanding between the two neighbouring countries.
Sources further revealed that enhancing economic ties will remain a major agenda item, as both Pakistan and Iran have already expressed their commitment to significantly increasing bilateral trade in the coming years.
The visit is being viewed as an important step toward strengthening political, economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
