A much-anticipated matchup between India and Pakistan will take place today at London’s Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in the FIH Pro League.
The Indian side is back on its feet after defeating the Netherlands 3-2 in Rotterdam.
The Indian team won two of their four games during the Netherlands leg, against the Dutch side and Germany, and lost the other two matches.
India’s performance has been poor so far this season but they are improving.
They have played 12 games to date and are second to last at the table with 10 points, 2 wins and 7 defeats, with a 3 draw record.
After clashing with Pakistan, India will finish their campaign against England and have two encounters with them in London.
Pakistan, on the other hand, have been having a challenging season in the Pro League. The Green Shirts have been performing poorly, as they have now gone 12 games without winning.
The Green Shirts have been in a slump, losing all 12 of their games and sitting at the bottom.
Pakistan first played in the European leg by losing to Spain and Belgium in both matches and have only scored four goals yet.
Now they have a difficult task ahead as they try and take on their longtime rivals.
India have found their form that they need in the past few games having recovered from their opening loss to the Netherlands.
They defeated Germany 3-1.
In their recent clash, India were solid with Jugraj Singh, Abhishek and Rajinder Singh and were able to defeat Olympic champions Netherlands.
India-Pakistan matchup will take off at 6:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time on Tuesday.
