Influencer Kanwal Farooq recently discussed her divorce when she was invited on a podcast, Teo O’Clock with Maarij.
While talking about her feelings, she said, “I feel disappointed because I married him when he didn’t even have money for food. People don’t know anything.”
“I never even got a ring. My friends brought rings so I could show it to my family. It was a marriage based on compromise.”
She went on to say, “I don’t want a relationship anymore because he gave me so much trauma.”
Kanwal Farooq broke down in tears saying, “I only want stability. It takes time to recover. My faith in Allah is more strong now.”
“I saw him six months after the divorce and he was in handcuffs”, she added.
Kanwal Farooq is an influencer and reality TV star. She rose to fame and popularity after appearing as a contestant on Tamasha season 4.
Many of her fans sent her messages of support on social media during this difficult time. One person shared, “May Allah heal and bless her with whatever her heart desires. Ameen”. Another said, “He did not deserve you, you are such a gem.”
