Reports surfaced online, run by private media channels, regarding the meeting planned between Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI leader Barrister Saif are fake.
A private news channel reported, quoting sources, that jail authorities and Barrister Gohar were informed that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi want to meet Barrister Saif.
Reports claimed that last month, during a meeting with family, Bushra Bibi expressed her desire to meet Barrister Saif, but couldn’t meet.
However, the reports are fake and have no connection with facts on the ground, revealing that no such meeting is planned between Imran Khan and Barrister Saif.
It is important to mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan earlier met his wife Bushra Bibi inside the jail, according to prison sources.
Officials said the meeting was held in a conference room inside the prison and lasted around 50 minutes.
However, lawyers and family members who arrived to meet Imran Khan were not allowed to meet him.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, along with Shafi Jan and Mian Khan Afridi, remained present at the Factory Naka point. Imran Khan’s three sisters also stayed at the location with a large number of party workers.
Supporters and family members gathered outside the facility, but authorities did not permit them to meet the PTI founder.
The situation outside the prison remained tense as people continued to wait for access that was ultimately denied.
The party founder, Imran Khan, also underwent a follow-up examination of his affected eye and was administered the fifth dose of an intravitreal injection as part of his ongoing medical treatment.
According to jail sources, Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) late at night under strict security arrangements, where doctors conducted a comprehensive examination of his eye.
Following the medical assessment, he received the required injection as part of the treatment plan prescribed by specialists. Sources said that four intravitreal injections had previously been administered, and the latest dose was a continuation of the same course of treatment.
After the procedure, Imran Khan was shifted back to Adiala Jail. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan also confirmed the medical examination, stating that the PTI founder had been taken from Adiala Jail to PIMS Hospital for the scheduled check-up and treatment.
