AJK traders announce disassociation from banned JAAC

The traders’ representatives of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have announced their disassociation from the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) during a press conference held at the Kashmir Press Club on Saturday.

In Mirpur, traders’ representatives, including Azmat Khan, announced their disassociation from the banned JAAC during a press conference.

Addressing the media, the traders said they represent the business community and remain committed to the peace, stability and public interest of the region.

The speakers alleged that the activities of the banned JAAC are against the national interest and claimed that the group is pursuing an “Indian agenda.” They said the committee initially focused on public issues and citizens’ rights, but has since deviated from its original objectives by engaging in matters unrelated to public welfare.

According to the traders, some of the committee’s actions have created unrest among both the public and the business community.

The traders condemned the current policies and activities of the banned Public Action Committee and announced their complete disassociation from the group.

They further stated that Pakistan is their identity and that the Pakistan Armed Forces are the guarantors of the country’s safety and security.

During the press conference, the traders reaffirmed their support for Pakistan and the Pakistan Armed Forces, saying they would not back any move that could negatively affect the region’s peace or business activities.

They also clarified that all markets in Mirpur remain open as usual and that business activities are continuing without disruption.
