Punjab Rahmat Card phase II
Eligible women, particularly widows whose records have not yet been updated, have been advised by the authorities to visit the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) as soon as possible to update their widow status and other relevant information.
This will help to make sure that a smooth registration process is followed. It will further help prevent any difficulties in receiving the programme’s benefits.
Punjab Rahmat Card
Before this, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz officially launched the Rahmat Card Program during a ceremony in Lahore.
Under the programme, the Punjab government allocated Rs5 billion from the provincial Zakat Fund to provide financial assistance to 50,000 widows and orphans. According to the details, each beneficiary will receive Rs100,000.
According to the government, eligible beneficiaries will be selected through the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) to make sure of a transparent process.
The initiative is expected to provide direct financial support to deserving families while reducing the chances of corruption and favouritism.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that the programme is intended to improve the economic security and social well-being of vulnerable groups. This being particularly for widows and orphans.
