A fresh image shared online appears to show a SIM tray said to belong to the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro in a dark cherry finish. While the image is not clear enough to confirm the exact shade, it appears to feature a deep reddish colour that sits somewhere between burgundy, brown and purple.
The image was posted on Chinese social media platform Weibo by well-known leaker Ice Universe, who has a history of sharing details about unreleased smartphones. As with all leaks, the information should be treated with caution until Apple makes an official announcement.
The latest claim adds to several earlier reports suggesting Apple is preparing a dark cherry colour as the standout finish for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. The company has introduced a signature colour for its Pro models in recent years, making it one of the biggest visual changes with each new generation.
Alongside dark cherry, the iPhone 18 Pro is also expected to be offered in Light Blue, Dark Gray and Silver, according to previous rumours. Early dummy models that surfaced online also showed these four colours, giving fans another preview of what Apple may have planned.
Interestingly, Ice Universe also responded to a user asking whether the iPhone 18 Pro would be available in black. The reply was a simple “No”, matching earlier rumours that Apple could drop the classic black finish from this year’s Pro models.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 18 series in September. The event is also rumoured to include the company’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to feature a more subtle range of colours, including silver, white and indigo. Some reports have even suggested the foldable model could launch in only one or two colour options.
