The ranking, released by Henley & Partners, places Singapore at the top for another ranking period. Singaporean passport holders can travel to 192 destinations without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival.

The United Arab Emirates, Japan and South Korea share second place, with their passport holders enjoying visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 188 destinations.

Sweden ranks third, offering visa-free access to 187 destinations.
Fourth place is shared by Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain, whose passports provide access to 186 destinations without a prior visa.

The fifth position is jointly held by Austria, Greece, Malta, Portugal and Switzerland, with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 185 destinations.

According to the report, the rankings are based on the number of destinations passport holders can visit without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival.

The report also shows that the United States passport has fallen to 10th place, despite previously being ranked among the world’s strongest.

Henley & Partners said the United Arab Emirates recorded the biggest improvement over the past decade, climbing 40 places in the global rankings to become the world’s second most powerful passport.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s passport remains among the world’s weakest, continuing to rank near the bottom of the index.

According to the report, Pakistan ranks 100th overall, with Pakistani passport holders able to travel to only 30 destinations without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival.
