After Iran’s visit, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has left for Türkiye, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is back in Pakistan, the private media channel reported on Friday.
The federal information minister Atta Tarar also said that PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the funeral rites of Iran’s late Supreme Leader Syed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, adding that both leaders showed grief with the Iranian leadership and Iranian people in this time of pain.
PM Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other individuals of the Pakistani delegation paid tribute to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei over his martyrdom, Atta Tarar added.
The federal information minister also wrote in a post on his X account that the late Iranian Supreme Leader was a very intelligent and courageous man.
Atta Tarar wrote on X, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and members of the Pakistani delegation attended the funeral rites of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, and not only expressed condolences with the Iranian leadership and nation but also paid tribute to their leader’s services and expressed grief over his martyrdom. May Allah Almighty grant him the highest rank in Jannat al-Firdous; he was a brave and wise leader.”

Earlier, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Tehran to attend the funeral of the martyred former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The Field Marshal was received by the Interior Minister of Iran.
