Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy and humid weather on Sunday, with chances of light rain and isolated drizzle in different parts of the city, according to the latest weather forecast.

Maximum temperatures are likely to range between 35°C and 37°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to remain between 28°C and 30°C. The city may also witness a slight rise in daytime temperatures compared to Saturday.

Humidity levels are forecast to stay between 70 and 80 per cent during the morning before easing to 55-65 per cent by the evening. Westerly to southwesterly winds are expected to continue throughout the day, bringing occasional strong gusts.

The weather pattern is expected to persist on Monday, July 6, with partly cloudy skies, humid conditions and chances of isolated drizzle across Karachi. Temperatures are forecast to remain between 34°C and 36°C during the day, while nighttime temperatures will stay between 28°C and 30°C.

Across Sindh, hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most districts. However, isolated duststorms, thunderstorms and light rain are likely in Jamshoro and Dadu, while coastal areas and Tharparkar may experience partly cloudy conditions with a chance of light drizzle.

ON the other hand, water supply suspended in parts of Karachi after a leak developed in a 24-inch diameter pipeline, affecting several areas of the city.

According to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), water supply has been temporarily suspended in Union Councils 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Lyari following the leak in a major water line.

Officials said the remaining areas of Lyari Town continue to receive water as normal. Engineering and technical teams have begun emergency repair work, which is expected to take 36 to 48 hours. Water supply to the affected areas will be restored in phases once repairs are completed.

Meanwhile, KWSC has launched a large-scale crackdown against consumers who have failed to pay their water bills.
