The ticket sale prices for the United States’ FIFA World Cup Round of 16 against Belgium have dropped significantly in recent days, despite the US achieving qualification for the knockout phase.
It’s one of the costliest matches in the Round of 16, behind only the blockbuster battle of Mexico and England.
The cheapest ticket on June 1st in Seattle for Monday’s game was almost $4,000, according to TicketData.com.
They were later followed by a downward trend of $1,549 on Tuesday before surging once more, to $2,836 after the Americans qualified for the last 16 by defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0.

This peak was followed by a sharp drop. Over the next few days demand diminished, bringing the lowest available ticket price to $1,423 by Saturday afternoon, down roughly 32% in three days.
The prices fell slightly in the afternoon, before recovering to $1,635 by 6 p.m. Eastern Time (2300 GMT).
USA vs Belgium regained second-place as the most expensive ($1,635) Round of 16 game.
These ranged from $3,574 for Mexico vs England, to $1,367 for Portugal vs Spain, $972 for Switzerland vs Colombia, $914 for Paraguay vs France, and even $721 for Canada vs Morocco.
It has left many surprised, especially as Belgium has established a presence in Seattle on the local level.
The Red Devils will play at the Sounders FC Performance Centre, just 16 kilometres south of Seattle Stadium for the third time after a 1-1 group-stage draw with Egypt and a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Senegal in the Round of 32.
Saturday’s Canada-Morocco game saw even ticket price decreases; the most affordable ones cost 14% less in the final 72 hours before kick-off. Canada lost to Morocco 3-0.
