Minister of Defence, Khawaja Asif, said on Monday that the Taliban have no credibility and may soon start claiming thefts and robberies too.
Talking on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the Defence Minister said, “The Taliban are claiming responsibility for a horrific murder. They have no credibility; tomorrow, they might even start taking credit for thefts, robberies, and ordinary crimes in Pakistan.”
Adding further, he said that their only aim is to claim credit. And that truth, ethics, and responsibility mean nothing to them.
ایک بہیمانہ قتل کی ذمہ داری طالبان قبول کر رہے ہیں۔ ان کا کوئی اعتبار نہیں، کل کو شاید پاکستان میں چوری، ڈکیتی اور عام جرائم کا کریڈٹ بھی لینا شروع کر دیں۔ مقصد صرف کریڈٹ لینا ہے، حقیقت، اخلاقیات اور ذمہ داری سے انہیں کوئی غرض نہیں۔ https://t.co/tGYCtFgEFl— Khawaja M. This post came as a response to another post on the platform, where a user clarified that the Fitna Al Khawarij is claiming that it has martyred an officer of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Islamabad. It is alleging that the whole story of Shaheed’s intervention to disrupt the kidnapping of a girl is fake.
The user added, “The individual who shot and killed the PAF officer has been arrested last evening and will be produced to courts as well as media to address the fakery of TTP and its cohorts. There is neither any TTP linkage nor any truth in the claim that the hired ‘shooters’ of the FITNA have escaped after the attack.”

Brave Air Force officer group Captain Asim martyred
A Pakistan Air Force officer was martyred after trying to save a woman from an alleged assault in Islamabad on Sunday.
According to initial reports, Group Captain Asim was driving on Ninth Avenue when he saw a man on a motorcycle allegedly grabbing a woman as she got off the bike.
He immediately turned his car around and stopped near them. The woman then ran to the other side of his vehicle for safety.
Police said the suspect, identified as Saad, began arguing with Group Captain Asim before opening fire on him.
The officer suffered serious injuries and was martyred. The suspect escaped from the scene after the shooting.
