Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly setting a Vigo vehicle accompanying Chaudhry Yasin’s convoy on fire today, police said.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Zahid Hussain, Muhammad Mahtab, and Zeeshan Ahmed.
According to the police, all three accused are now behind bars. Additionally, further investigation into the incident is underway.
Previously, a clash broke out between protesters and the guards of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Chaudhry Yasin in Charhoi, Kotli district of Azad Kashmir.
Police said that the three suspects arrested for setting fire to a vehicle in Chaudhry Yasin’s convoy have been identified as members of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).

According to the reports, an investigation that was based on the CCTV footage and other available evidence led to the identification and arrest of the three suspects.
Police said that the suspects are active members of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee.
Authorities said further that raids are underway to arrest other individuals who are allegedly involved in the incident.
Police added that legal action will be taken against those found responsible for violence, damage to property, or attacks on political figures.
PPP Nominates Chaudhry Yasin for AJK Prime Minister Post
Previously, the PPP had named Chaudhry Yasin as its candidate for the post of AJK prime minister.
A no confidence motion was expected to be moved against the current AJK Prime Minister of the time, Anwarul Haq.
According to party sources, the decision was made after consultations within the party. Yasin, who served as the president of the PPP’s AJK chapter, was selected as the party’s candidate.
Sources said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced Yasin’s nomination during a meeting at the Zardari House.
Before the final decision, the names of Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Faisal Rathore and Sardar Yaqub were also considered for the post.
