Qamar Raza has rejected what he described as propaganda by the banned Awami Action Committee (JAAC) on Wednesday.
He strongly rejected the claims made by the banned Public Action Committee regarding Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and called them baseless, fabricated and misleading propaganda.
Qamar Raza
He said that the banned JAAC claimed that he wrote a letter to an important figure, after which the important figure appointed Syed Qamar Raza as his special representative and sent him for contact and negotiations.
Qamar Raza categorically denied this claim, saying that there is no truth in it and it is just an attempt to mislead the people.
He said that no important figure asked him to contact the banned Public Action Committee, nor has he been appointed as their representative.
Further, he said that he has no role in any kind of negotiations or contact with the banned JAAC. He strongly reacted and said that important personalities do not have time to spare for these two-faced goons.
He said that it is extremely irresponsible to link the leadership, which is responsible for important issues like national security, with such baseless claims.
Qamar Raza said that the banned Public Action Committee is trying to create a false narrative by using the names of state figures to cover up its failures and maintain its reputation among the public.
He said that the public should be wary of such baseless claims and propaganda spread on social media.
JAAC fails to mobilise public support
Previously, the banned JAAC claimed that its planned long march had been postponed because of negotiations. However, some reports say this claim is false.
According to the report, the real reason is that the public did not support the call, and JAAC failed to gather enough people to launch the campaign.
The organisation also lacked the resources, planning, and public backing needed to carry out the march, reports say.
The sources added that the government’s firm stance against violent and disruptive activities further discouraged the planned protest.
Earlier, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Home Secretary Chaudhry Guftar Hussain and Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Qazi Inayat Ali, while addressing a joint press conference on the current situation in AJK, said that the banned JAAC has been engaged in disrupting peace and normal life in the region for the past 38 days.
They stated that, under the guise of protests for rights, the organisation has turned intimidation, blackmail, and propaganda into its main tactics. They further claimed that the group’s real objective is to promote an anti-Pakistan narrative and spread criticism against the country’s armed forces.
