A total of 138,000 students have completed their registration for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026. The entrance examination, which is mandatory for admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Authorities have assigned different public universities as centers across the country to organise and supervise the examination in their respective regions.
Centers assigned for MDCAT in different provinces
- University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, Punjab
- Sukkur IBA University in Sindh
- Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
- Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, in Quetta, Balochistan
- Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) has been entrusted with conducting the MDCAT in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB)
Additionally, SZABMU has been assigned the responsibility for arranging the test in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, allowing Pakistani students residing there to appear for the examination without travelling back to Pakistan.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has also announced a special arrangement for students from Balochistan. An additional MDCAT examination centre will be established in Islamabad for candidates holding a Balochistan domicile. This testing facility will be managed by Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences.
MDCAT registration with late fee
PMDC stated that the regular registration period for MDCAT 2026 remained open until July 13. However, candidates who were unable to complete the process within the standard deadline still have an opportunity to register by paying a late fee. The final date for submitting registrations with the late fee has been set as July 18.
How to apply for MDCAT 2026?
Students can register for MDCAT 2026 online through the official PMDC registration portal.
To apply:
- Visit the official PMDC registration portal (https://mdcat.pmdc.pk/Account/Login).
- Create an account using your CNIC or B-Form, email address, and mobile number.
- Then you will have to enter your personal details. This includes your name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, domicile, and address.
- Then upload the required documents and a recent passport size photograph.
- Select your preferred test city and exam medium, and then generate the fee challan and pay the fee at the designated bank.
- Then simply submit your application and download your registration slip for the exam.
