Security Forces Kill 20 Fitna al-Khawarij Militants in KP

Web desk: On November 8 and 9, Pakistani security forces conducted two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the deaths of 20 militants linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij, according to an official statement issued by the ISPR.

The first operation took place in the Shawal area of North Waziristan District. There, eight militants were killed after a targeted engagement by security forces.

The second operation was conducted in Dara Adam Khel District, where twelve militants were neutralised following a firefight.

Sanitisation efforts are ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants in the area.

The operations are part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative. Approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

Fitna al-Khawarij Militants Killed

Before, the ISPR said that three militants linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij were killed in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Security forces detected a group trying to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near Esham, North Waziristan. And engaged them immediately, killing two militants. One of them, Qasim, was an Afghan national and former Afghan Border Police officer.

In a separate operation in Tank District, another militant, Ikramuddin alias Abu Dajana, also an Afghan national, was killed.

The ISPR said these incidents highlight the ongoing involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities inside Pakistan.

Pakistan has repeatedly called on the interim Afghan government to control the border. And prevent its territory from being used for attacks.

Sanitisation operations are ongoing to remove any remaining militants.

Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign, Azm-e-Istehkam. Approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full force to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism.
