Achakzai calls Imran Khan health reports ‘propaganda’

Achakzai question Imran Khan's health propaganda

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Achakzai said he can state with confidence that Imran Khan’s health is not as bad as being portrayed.

In a statement, Achakzai said the real issue is that efforts are being made to divert attention from their main objective.

He said they do not want to kill anyone or use abusive language adding that they want an independent Election Commission and transparent general elections.

He said the party that wins should form the government, while others should accept the results.

Achakzai said people should come together to rebuild Pakistan. He said there is no personal enmity with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
However, he said the Constitution has been violated and all institutions must remain within constitutional limits.

The opposition leader said that when the protest was announced, the issue of Imran Khan’s illness was introduced into the minds of workers. He called it an attempt to divert attention from the real cause.

Mahmood Achakzai further said that Imran Khan is not an ordinary man but a popular public leader.

Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed serious concerns over the health of party leader, Imran Khan, claiming that he was being denied treatment by jail authorities for his eye condition.

According to sources, Imran Khan had been diagnosed with Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a medical condition which causes blockage in the retinal vein.
