Security forces have captured and destroyed an Afghan Taliban Post during a QPQ task carried out opposite the Shakhsiyat Sector, officials said on Saturday.
The operation began with coordinated and effective fire to soften the target. During the engagement, Afghan Taliban troops were seen retreating into dense vegetation. They were subsequently targeted with available weapons and mortars.
Blocking elements and snipers positioned on dominating heights covered possible reinforcement routes and maintained control of the area throughout the operation.
An assault team comprising 20 personnel, led by Major Akbar, successfully captured the post. Security sources said that 4 to 5 Afghan Taliban were killed, while 3 to 4 others sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.
Officials added that the post had no significant tactical value, as Shakhsiyat 4 Post overlooks it from a height advantage of approximately 220 feet. Following its capture, the post was destroyed using explosives.
