Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir has surprised his fans with his declaration of a break from showbiz in 2027, stating that he plans to spend more time with his family, as it was time for him to take a break from his professional commitments.
In a recent live video, the actor announced that he had already been preparing his fans for the coming year when he will take time off from acting. Ahad told them that he wanted to inform them in advance so that they would be prepared for his absence.
The actor said that his idea is that he will be totally away from work for the whole year and spend his time on his family and personal life.
He also stated that he will also be taking some time off from Instagram during the breaks to give himself time to unwind from social media and the public.
When asked about the decision, Ahad jokingly pointed out that fans may think of it as “semi-retirement.” According to his remarks, though, it’s not the end of his acting career, but a temporary respite from it.
The news has come as a shock to the fans, especially as Ahad still has some other projects in the works.
In the past, Ahad has discussed the need to balance his work and personal life. His recent declaration seems to be in favour of spending 2027 with his family, with personal interests and spending time away from the hard work of the entertainment industry.
Though he is on a hiatus, Ahad is still active in the industry and has some of his own projects attached. These include Cafe Firaaq, where he will be acting with Yumna Zaidi.
He is also involved in the upcoming Netflix project Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo that has been generating a lot of buzz amongst Pakistani drama and film viewers.
But fans will have to wait and see how Ahad will spend his year away from showbiz as planned.
