Ali Tareen bids farewell to Multan Sultans

Ali Tareen part ways with Multan Sultans

LAHORE: Former co-owner of Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen, has decided to part ways with the franchise, saying he cannot stay if it means compromising on principles.

In his statement, Ali Tareen said he would rather lose the team while standing on his own feet than run it on his knees. He added that being part of Multan Sultans was the greatest honour of his life.

Ali Tareen said that the representation of South Punjab has always been close to his heart, and it was something his late uncle Alamgir Tareen was proud of.

According to him, Multan Sultans is more than just a franchise; it carries deep emotions and loyalty.

He said that despite financial losses, he never thought about leaving the team. Ali Tareen added that whoever takes charge of the franchise now will have his full support, as the team belongs more to the fans and the people of South Punjab than to any owner.
