Apple has introduced HomeView, a new smart home hub designed for entertainment, communication, and home management. The device features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and Siri AI powered by Apple Intelligence. It brings several household functions together in one place. Apple announced HomeView on October 13, 2026. Users can place it on a table or mount it on a wall. The device supports music, FaceTime calls, smart home controls, and personalized information.

Apple HomeView features a 7-Inch display

HomeView features an aluminum design with a speaker base and an adjustable stainless steel hinge. Its display adjusts brightness according to the surrounding light. The interface also changes the information shown based on the user’s distance. The tabletop model comes in four colors: silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. The wall-mounted version comes in silver and space gray. HomeView recognizes up to six people and provides personalized home screens. Each user can access individual apps and widgets. Shared photo albums and music remain available for household members and guests.

Siri AI Powers the new Smart Home Hub

Siri AI is one of HomeView’s main features. Apple says the updated assistant supports more natural conversations and broader knowledge. Users can ask questions, find music, and request help with everyday tasks. When paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, Siri can use relevant personal information.

This includes details from apps such as Messages and Calendar. Users can also continue supported Siri conversations across compatible Apple devices. Apple says HomeView provides several Siri AI features without an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. However, personalized responses require a compatible paired device. Some features may also depend on language and regional availability.

HomeView Offers Smart Home controls

HomeView lets users manage compatible smart home accessories through voice commands or its touchscreen. They can adjust lights and thermostats, lock doors, close blinds, and view camera feeds. Its Home Camera interface can display up to nine video feeds simultaneously. This feature helps users monitor their homes and check deliveries. With a supported iCloud+ subscription, compatible cameras can identify people, pets, packages, and vehicles.

HomeView can also provide descriptions of supported HomeKit Secure Video recordings. The device detects sounds from smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. It can then send alerts to compatible iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. HomeView also supports compatible Apple Home and Matter accessories. Apple’s new Home Collection includes smart home cameras, thermostats, and a lock developed with partner companies.

Entertainment and Communication features

HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, and compatible third-party applications. Apple News is also available in supported regions. Its audio system includes two full-range drivers, a woofer, and additional sound components. Apple says its audio processing adjusts sound performance at different volume levels. Users can make FaceTime calls with Center Stage support. They can also read and reply to Messages through voice commands or the onscreen keyboard.

The Intercom feature lets household members send announcements to individual rooms or the entire home. In the kitchen, HomeView can display recipes, manage timers, and help track ingredients. These features provide information about supported devices, active timers, and household notifications.

Apple Highlights privacy and security

Apple says privacy and security are central to HomeView’s design. The device and its A18 chip include Secure Exclaves, which isolate camera and microphone data processing. Personal information in apps such as Messages and Calendar requires user recognition and a compatible paired device under Apple’s stated security conditions. Siri requests can use on-device processing or Private Cloud Compute. Apple says information processed through Private Cloud Compute is not stored or made accessible to Apple.

Apple HomeView Price and release date

Apple has set a starting price of $299 in the United States for both HomeView models. The tabletop version comes in four colors, while the wall-mounted model comes in two. Pre-orders opened on October 13 in the United States, Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Singapore pre-orders begin on October 15. Both models are scheduled to become available in these markets on November 13, 2026. Customers in South Africa can purchase them through authorized resellers from the same date.

HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS there, according to Apple. The wall-mounted version supports three mounting options from Schneider Home. The USB-C wall connector starts at $59.95, while the wired AC mount starts at $79.95. A Power over Ethernet mount is planned for early 2027 at $129.95.

What Apple’s HomeView means for Smart Homes

Apple introduces HomeView smart home hub as a central device for entertainment, communication, and home automation. Its touchscreen, Siri AI, and personalized profiles bring several functions together. The $299 starting price places both models at the same announced price. However, some features require compatible Apple devices, subscriptions, or supported accessories.

HomeView’s availability and language support may also affect customers in different markets. Its launch adds another option for households seeking a connected display within Apple’s smart home ecosystem.
