ASUS reveals its first OLED Esports monitor

ASUS has begun to tease its first Esports OLED monitor, showcasing a display with a 540Hz refresh rate, an OLED panel, and a 24.5-inch screen size.

ASUS specifically named this monitor the ROG Strix OLEC XG259QWPG ACE on Instagram, with ACE representing ASUS ROG’s Esports brand.

However, ASUS has not yet revealed the exact resolution or other detailed specifications of this monitor. It is expected that more information will be available soon at Computex 2026.

For Esports, the 24.5-inch size of this screen makes it perfect for competitive shooters and tournament play.

This size is the most prevalent at tournaments, as smaller screens necessitate less head movement from players, improving comfort during competitive play.

Are OLED monitors good for Esports gaming?

OLED monitors are regarded as the best choice for gaming.

They deliver unparalleled picture quality and performance, although they typically come with a higher price and some trade-offs.

Since OLED pixels can turn off completely, they provide perfect, deep blacks and bright highlights. This results in stunning visuals in games, especially in HDR.

Most OLED panels offer exceptional color accuracy and wide color gamuts (such as DCI-P3), giving games a rich and lifelike look.

The near-instantaneous response time ensures that your actions in Esports are reflected on-screen with almost no noticeable delay.
