PSL XI: Babar Azam’s blazing century powers Zalmi to massive 255/3 vs Quetta

Peshawar Zalmi delivered a dominant performance in PSL 11, crushing Quetta Gladiators in a high-scoring clash at the National Stadium, Karachi.

Zalmi outclassed Quetta in all departments, first putting up a massive total and then dismantling their opponents with ease. Quetta’s bowlers struggled throughout the innings, conceding heavily, while their batting lineup failed to respond under pressure.

Chasing a daunting target of 256 runs, Quetta Gladiators collapsed without putting up any significant resistance. The batting order faltered from the start, with wickets falling at regular intervals.

Bevan Jacobs was the only notable contributor, scoring 34 runs, but his effort wasn’t enough to challenge Zalmi’s dominance. With this emphatic victory, Peshawar Zalmi sent a strong message to the rest of the teams in the tournament.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi delivered a batting masterclass in the big clash of PSL XI, setting a daunting target of 256 runs for Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium Karachi.

Zalmi captain Babar Azam stole the spotlight with a sensational unbeaten century, bringing up his hundred off just 52 balls on the final delivery of the innings. His knock featured 6 fours and 4 sixes, marking the third century of his PSL career.

Thanks to his explosive innings and Kusal Mendis’ aggressive 83-run contribution, Zalmi posted a commanding total of 255 for 3 in their allotted overs. Contributions also came from Aaron Hardy (26), Mohammad Haris (16), and Farhan Yousuf (19).

Quetta Gladiators struggled to contain the onslaught, with Usman Tariq, Abrar Ahmed, and Alzarri Joseph picking up one wicket each as no bowler managed to dominate the proceedings.
