Security Forces have foiled a suicide attack on a checkpost in Bajaur, killing 8 militants on Monday.
A suicide attack attempt using an explosives-laden vehicle was foiled at the Milangi security post in Bajaur by security forces.
The attack was carried out by militants linked to Fitna Al Khawarij.
According to reports, eight militants were killed during the operation.
Three soldiers of the Pakistan Army were injured.
Officials said that due to strong security measures, the forces suffered limited damage.
After the incident, security forces sealed the area and launched a search operation.
Action is also underway against militants who tried to escape.
The statement said this was another failed attempt to disturb peace in Bajaur.
It added that these elements want to push peaceful people into terrorism. However, sources say that their elimination is certain.
The statement further said operations will continue under the National Action Plan until the last militant is eliminated.
12 militants killed
According to the latest reports, 12 militants have been killed in Bajaur following a failed attack on 16 February 2026.
Three soldiers were martyred, and six others were injured while bravely fighting the terrorists.
In the attack, two children were killed, and dozens of civilians were seriously injured. This included two children and a woman.
Reports indicate that security forces foiled a suicide vehicle borne explosive attack on the Malangi Post in Bajaur.
The attackers had attempted to blast an explosives-laden vehicle, but the attempt was successfully foiled by security personnel.
