Balochistan: 375 kg of narcotics seized from vehicle

A massive amount of narcotics was confiscated from a suspicious vehicle travelling from Pangur to Turbat was stopped on M-8, in Balochistan. The Mazda registration number of the vehicle was TKN-101.

The vehicle was thoroughly checked, and 375 kg of ICE was found and confiscated from the vehicle. The apprehended individual, along with the confiscated narcotics are now handed over to the ANF.

In other news, there was a major drug bust recently in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the kingdom’s strict stance against narcotics.

The Saudi General Directorate of Narcotics Control, in co-operation with the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, launched a very important operation on recently in Riyadh.

During this operation, the authority seized 71 kilos of drugs from six Pakistani nationals.

Talal Al-Shalhoub, spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Interior, said the suspects were caught in the act receiving a large shipment of methamphetamine.

He stressed that there is no justification for drug smuggling at all, and said that the people who were arrested were Pakistani by nationality.

The suspects have been presented to the courts, and an investigation has already started.

Saudi Arabia has very strict laws against drug crimes, and punishments, such as death penalty, are applied for the guilty ones.

In another significant operation Talal Al-Shalhoub mentioned a joint operation with Oman authorities to intercept two attempts of drug smuggling on a large scale.

This led to the confiscation of over 200 kilos of illegal products.

He also appealed to the public to call 911, 999 or 885 if they had any suspicious activity related to drug trafficking or distribution.

Authorities assured the strict confidentiality of the identity of informants. These operations are a testament to Saudi Arabia’s serious efforts to fight drug crimes and keep the public secure.
