Bara Bazaar remained completely closed after public and private properties were set on fire during incidents of vandalism a day earlier, with authorities deploying a heavy police contingent to maintain law and order.

According to reports, roads on both sides of the bazaar have been closed to all types of traffic, while all shops and commercial establishments remain shut.

Police have advised people standing outside their homes to move indoors for their own safety. Security personnel are also present throughout the area, with checkpoints established at various locations and a heavy police presence deployed at key points.

The security measures have created a curfew-like situation in Bara Bazaar, bringing normal commercial activities to a complete standstill.

Authorities are taking steps to maintain peace and prevent further unrest. No Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers had taken to the streets at the time of reporting, according to the available information.

Meanwhile, action is being taken against those allegedly involved in damaging public property during the previous day’s incidents.

The local administration has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found responsible for damaging government property.

Heavy police deployment and road closures remain in place as authorities seek to restore normalcy and prevent further incidents in the area.
