Educational stipends are being provided by the government of Pakistan to students under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program.

The purpose of the program is to support and promote school enrollment. It will also help reduce the dropout rates among the children who belong to low-income families.

Quarterly education stipends, under the program are provided to children of active beneficiaries of the BISP Kafalat Program.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants meeting the following conditions will be qualifying for the education stipend:

  • The mother of the student must be registered and taking active benefits from the BISP Kafalat Programme.
  • It is also compulsory for the kid to possess a valid NADRA B-form/CRC.

The child should also be within the following age brackets:

  • Primary Education 4 to 12 years
  • Secondary Education 8 to 18 years
  • Higher Secondary Education 13 to 22 years

Registration Process

To complete the registration process, guardians and parents must follow these steps:

  • The nearest BISP Field Office must be visited along with the child.
  • The B-form of the child issued by NADRA and the mobile number that is already issued with BISP.
  • Enrollment slip will be given by the concerned officer after the child is registered.
  • The concerned officer will register the child and issue an enrollment slip.
  • The child’s school then must stamp and verify the enrollment slip.

The slip must include:

  • Child’s class and section
  • School name
  • Class teacher’s name and details
  • Head teacher’s verification
  • Submit the verified enrollment slip back to the BISP office.
  • After verification, the education stipend will be released.

Attendance Requirement

If the children who start receiving stipends want the stipends to continue then they must maintain at least 70 per cent of their attendance.

Stipend amounts

The quarterly stipend amounts are as follows:

  • Primary (Class 1–5) Rs2,500 Rs3,000
  • Secondary (Class 6–10) Rs3,500 Rs4,000
  • Higher Secondary (Class 11–12) Rs4,500 Rs5,000
