The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has increased the exam duty wages of the teachers by 50 per cent.
Thousands of teachers performing examination duties under the BISE Lahore are set to receive higher payments after the board approved a 50% increase in remuneration for examination staff.
According to board officials, the revised rates will apply to various categories of examination personnel, including superintendents, deputy superintendents, supervisory staff, mobile inspectors, distributor inspectors and practical examiners.
Under the new structure, the daily remuneration for superintendents has increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340, while deputy superintendents will receive Rs1,800 per day, up from Rs1,260.
The daily payment for supervisory staff has risen from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500. Mobile inspectors will now receive Rs1,620, compared with Rs1,080 previously, while the remuneration for distributor inspectors has increased from Rs1,200 to Rs1,800.
The board has also raised the daily remuneration for practical examiners from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310.
BISE Lahore Controller of Examinations Tausif-ur-Rehman said the decision was taken in recognition of the dedication, integrity and hard work of teachers, who play a key role in ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations.
He added that the increase is intended to encourage examination staff and support them in carrying out their responsibilities more effectively.
