BISP educational stipend registration: How to apply

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has outlined a simple procedure for registering children under its Benazir Taleemi Wazaif programme. To qualify for registration, the child’s mother must be an eligible beneficiary of the Benazir Kafaalat programme, while the child must have a valid Form-B issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

How to register

Parents or guardians can register their children by following these steps:

  • Take the child to the nearest BISP Tehsil Office.
  • Bring the child’s NADRA-issued Form-B.
  • Provide the mobile phone number already registered in the BISP records.
  • After registration, collect the enrolment slip from the BISP office.
  • Have the slip completed and verified by the child’s school.

The enrolment slip must include the child’s class and section, the class teacher’s name, the head teacher’s signature and other required information. Once completed, the enrolment slip must be submitted back to the BISP Tehsil Office. After the required verification process is completed, the child’s educational stipend will be released.

70% attendance required

To continue receiving the stipend, the child must maintain at least 70% attendance at school. If the child changes schools, parents should immediately inform the nearest BISP Tehsil Office so that the beneficiary’s record can be updated without delay.

BISP services are free

BISP has also clarified that all its services are completely free of charge. Beneficiaries should immediately lodge a complaint if anyone demands money at any stage of the registration or stipend process.
