An Indian army retired Brigadier, named Mukesh Joshi, was killed today when he was out for a morning walk. According to the social media reports, Mukesh Joshi was killed due to ongoing rage between two groups on the road.
The Uttarakhand police confirmed that Brigadier (retd) Mukesh Joshi was not even involved in the conflict between the two groups. The report also confirmed that Brigadier (retd) Mukesh Joshi was out for a morning walk when he was killed.
The reports also confirmed that the incident happened at the Rajpur road in Dehradun.

Dehradun SP city Parmod Kumar said that the incident of Brigadier (retd) Mukesh Joshi’s killing occurred between 6:45 am and 7 am. The SP also said that Brigadier (retd) Mukesh Joshi was out for a morning walk at Rajpur road, as he was a resident of the Rajpur area in Dehradun.
“At the same time, two cars sped along the busy Rajpur Road. The occupants of one vehicle were chasing the other and opened fire during the pursuit. Brig Joshi, who had no connection to the incident, was struck by a stray bullet,” Kumar said.
Was Brigadier Joshi a RAW agent?
At the same time, several social media accounts and reports are confirming that the Brigadier (retd) Mukesh Joshi was a RAW agent and working for the Indian Intelligence agency. One of the social media users wrote on X, “ The killers escaped from the site of action. Reportedly, the Rtd Brigadier had or still was working with RAW.”
Another social media user wrote, “Unidentified individuals assassinated Brigadier Mukesh Joshi in Dehradun this morning. He was a former Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau and remained active with RAW.”
