Despite rising inflation and the overall jump in car prices, a range of used vehicles is still available in Pakistan for under Rs1 million, offering some relief to buyers searching for a budget-friendly option.
For many people, the main concern is finding a reliable daily-use car without stretching their budget. While it requires careful research and checking the condition of each vehicle, several hatchbacks and sedans continue to fall within this price range.
All cars under Rs10 lakh
Cars commonly found under Rs10 lakh include Suzuki Mehran, Suzuki Cultus (older generation), Hyundai Santro, Daihatsu Charade, Suzuki Alto (old shape), FAW X-PV, Suzuki Baleno, Honda City (1997–2000), Honda Civic (1990–2000), Daihatsu Cuore, Toyota Corolla (1988–1992), Suzuki Khyber, Suzuki Margalla and Kia Spectra.
Each model targets a different type of buyer. Those wanting a small hatchback for daily use often look at the Suzuki Mehran. A 2012 model is usually priced between Rs7-9 lakh, depending on how well it has been maintained.
For buyers seeking an affordable family car, the Suzuki Baleno remains one of the most accessible sedans. Multiple 2003–2005 models are listed on platforms such as OLX and PakWheels for around Rs9-10 lakh.
Those hoping to save even more can consider the Suzuki Margalla, which is available for roughly Rs5.75-7 lakh. Similarly, Honda Civic models from 1997–1998 also fall between Rs9-10 lakh, while Honda City (early 2000s) models are commonly listed from Rs8-9.5 lakh.
Hatchback seekers looking at the Suzuki Cultus can find 2005–2008 models ranging between Rs7-9 lakh, depending on mileage and condition.
Buyers still have room to choose
Although inflation has pushed car prices to new highs, the used-car market continues to offer more than ten models under the Rs1 million mark. For anyone working with a limited budget, these options remain among the most practical choices for daily travel.
