CDA cancels NOC of MPCHS

Islamabad declares MPCHS as illegal

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared the Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society (MPCHS) in Islamabad’s upscale Sector E-11 illegal for misleading the public.

The civic body has cancelled the No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the Islamabad Gardens housing scheme also known as Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society (MPCHS) , rendering its layout plan void.

All development activities and sale or purchase of plots in the society have been declared unauthorized.

According to a letter issued by the CDA’s Directorate of Housing Societies (Planning Wing) to the president of the Multi Professionals Co-operative Housing Society, the decision came after several warnings and correspondences between 2011 and 2025.

According to CDA, the action was taken over multiple violations, including unauthorized land-use changes, encroachments, and deceptive marketing practices.

The housing scheme was initially approved on June 10, 2005, covering 811 kanals with designated areas for residential, commercial, institutional, and open spaces. However, the developers reportedly breached the approved layout by altering land use, encroaching on unapproved land, and neglecting to provide essential infrastructure.

Citizens have been warned against booking or purchasing plots in the project. The CDA has urged the public to verify housing projects through its official website, www.cda.gov.pk, before making any transactions.
