The Punjab Education Department has decided to end

The Punjab Education Department has decided to end manual college admissions across the province from 2027 and shift the entire process to an online system.

Director Public Instruction (DPI) Punjab Dr Ansar Azhar said the move follows the Punjab government’s paperless policy and will make college admissions easier and more efficient for students.

Under the new system, colleges will stop issuing printed prospectuses and admission forms. Students will submit their applications and complete other admission-related procedures online.

The department has already moved college fee payments to an online system. It will digitise the remaining admission procedures from the next academic year.

Dr Ansar Azhar advised students and parents to use the online system instead of visiting colleges and waiting in long queues.

The new system will cover admission applications, other admission procedures and fee payments, making the entire college admission process digital.

The Education Department expects the move to reduce paperwork, save students’ time and improve access to college admission services across Punjab.
