A court has sent 20 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers from Bara, Khyber, to jail on judicial remand in connection with unrest and disturbances in the area.

Following the court’s decision, preparations are underway to file a bail application seeking the release of the workers, according to available information.

A statement regarding the workers said a bail application would be filed soon, God willing, to pursue their release through legal proceedings. The court will consider the bail plea in accordance with the relevant legal provisions and arguments presented by the parties. The workers’ release will depend on the court’s decision.

Judicial remand means that accused individuals are sent to jail under a court order rather than being held in police custody. Their release on bail is a separate legal matter that must be decided by the competent court.

The development comes as life has reportedly returned to normal in Bara Bazaar following the end of violent unrest, with traders resuming their business activities.
