Murder case: Court reserves judgement on further remand of Anmol Pinky

Court announces important decision in Anmol Pinky case

The court on Monday reserved its judgement regarding extension in remand of cocaine queen Anmol alias Pinky in a murder case.

The hearing was heard at Judicial Complex central jail on Monday regarding a murder case filed with the Baghdadi police station.

During the course of the hearing the investigative officer demanded an extension in remand as a murder case has been registered against the accused.

Earlier due to security concerns, the court haddeclared it risky to produce Anmol alias Pinky in City Court and ordered that proceedings be held inside the jail.

According to details, authorities termed the court appearance of the female drug suspect “Anmol alias Pinky” dangerous in view of security threats.

The District and Sessions Judge South approved a request from the DIG South. The court allowed that instead of bringing the accused to City Court, she be presented in jail. A judicial magistrate has been directed to conduct proceedings at the Central Jail Complex.

The court observed that presenting the accused in City Court could pose a serious threat to public safety.

A police spokesperson said Baghdadi police will take the accused to Central Jail, where further physical remand will be requested in a murder case.

Meanwhile, Darakhshan police have filed a review petition in the sessions court against the decision to send the accused to jail.

Police argue that the suspect is highly cunning and wanted in serious cases. They say further physical remand is essential to complete the investigation.
