The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the written result of the CSS Competitive Examination 2026.
According to the official result issued on August 31, 2026 (today) a total of 476 candidates have qualified the written portion of CSS 2026.
The result has been listed among the latest official updates on the FPSC website.

Successful candidates move to next stage
Candidates who previously qualified the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) were eligible to apply for the written examination. FPSC had scheduled the written examination to begin on February 4, 2026.
Candidates who appeared in the CSS 2026 written examination can check the official result through the FPSC website.
The commission has advised candidates to rely on its website as the primary source of information about examinations and results.
The CSS examination is one of Pakistan’s most competitive recruitment examinations. It is conducted by the FPSC to select candidates for different occupational groups and services of the federal government.
Successful candidates from the written stage will move forward in the selection process. The remaining stages include medical examination, psychological assessment and viva voce. Final selection and allocation take place after these stages are completed.
Previously, on August 4, FPSC had issued a public notice stating that the CSS 2026 written result was likely to be announced in the first week of September.
FPSC rejected social media rumours
Before the result, FPSC had also responded to claims circulating on social media about the CSS 2026 examination.
The commission rejected allegations about missing answer sheets and problems with examination records. It said answer sheets were handled through a multi custody system involving verification, documentation and supervision.
FPSC also said examination centres, roll numbers and seating arrangements were generated through an automated process.
