Hundreds of drone attacks in UAE have scared millions living in the Gulf state today.
UAE authorities have said that a total of 122 drones and 16 ballistic missiles were launched at the country in a single day.
At least 119 drones were intercepted, and two drones crashed within the UAE territory.
It is pertinent to mention that since the start of the war, three people have died in the UAE, including a Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi.
112 people got injured due to the drone attacks.
Drone attacks in Dubai and near Abu Dhabi
Earlier, a drone hit Dubai near its airport, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy launched a drone attack on the al-Dhafra airbase, which is located approximately 20 mi (32 km) south of Abu Dhabi.
The war launched by the United States and Israel has entered its second week with no signs of slowing down, and heavy airstrikes across Iran are causing many civilian deaths.
The US military’s Central Command says it has struck more than 3,000 targets in Iran and destroyed 43 Iranian warships since February 28. The death toll in Iran has now risen to at least 1,332 people.
Iran apologises to the Gulf countries
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the interim leadership council approved yesterday that neighbouring countries will no longer be attacked, unless an attack on Iran originates from there. He also apologised to the neighbouring countries for the strikes that took place in the past few days.
Following Pezeshkian’s comments, the IRGC said, “They respect the interests and national sovereignty of neighbouring countries and, up to this point, have committed no aggression against them.”
