LAHORE: YouTuber Saad Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, has been released from Camp Jail after 90 days.
The court issued his release order today, after which he was freed.
Earlier this week, the Lahore High Court approved his bail in a case related to promoting online gambling apps, against surety bonds of Rs1 million.
During the hearing, Justice Shehram Sarwar remarked that, according to Supreme Court rulings, denying bail in such cases is unusual.
His release order could not be issued yesterday, so he had to stay in jail. But today, Judicial Magistrate Naeem Bhutto issued the formal release directive, instructing that Ducky Bhai be set free immediately if he is not wanted in any other case.
An FIR against him is registered with the FIA’s National Crime Agency Wing (NCIA) on charges of promoting online gambling. Officials say further investigation is underway.
Family members and friends were present outside the jail at the time of his release.
