Pakistani athlete Ahsan Mehsud has performed excellently and brought honour to the country with his Gold medal at the Taekwondo Championship in Thailand.
Throughout the tournament the national player played outstandingly demonstrating exceptional skill, determination and resilience against some of the world’s great international teams.
Mehsud’s campaign started off on a strong note, defeating a competitor from Kazakhstan in the first round.
He then went on to beat an Indian in the important semi-final and finally beat a Sri Lankan to win the championship title in the final.
His exceptional performance not only secured Pakistan a prestigious gold medal but also showcased the country’s growing competency in international taekwondo.
After his victory, Mehsud vowed to use his win to serve and bless the people of Pakistan and thanked them for their support and encouragement.
Similarly, at a recent international badminton event in Malaysia, Sarwat Fatima, the emerging badminton star of Pakistan, also gave a fantastic performance that honoured the country.
She represented Balochistan and won two gold medals after consistently outplaying her competitors in the competition, adding to Pakistan’s international sporting glory.
When asked about her success in the sport, Sarwat Fatima attributed her achievement to years of hard work, discipline and passion for the sport.
She attributed her success to her father and the Pakistani Army who have been her source of help and encouragement.
She also spoke of her dream of joining the Pakistan Army in the future as well for the service of Pakistan.
Both Ahsan Mehsud and Sarwat Fatima’s success in the international arena is a testament to the talent of Pakistani athletes and the fact that with commitment, hard work and adequate support, Pakistan’s sporting talent can excel at the highest level.
